Columbia University CIO Leadership Workshop

More than 20 up-and-coming IT leaders came together last week for Columbia University’s CIO Leadership Workshop. The three-day event, held at Columbia’s Graduate School of Business, focused on giving future CIOs the knowledge and insight needed to effectively lead the corporate IT function.

Attendees heard lectures from leading CIOs and experts and took part in workshop activities administered by members of Columbia’s faculty and prominent IT leaders.

Some notable speakers included Carole Post, Commissioner of the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications, City of New York; Dan Zelem, SVP and CIO of Medco Health Solutions; and Brian Lurie, VP of IT for Stryker Orthopaedics.

The event was the latest in a series of executive leadership programs in partnership with Columbia University. The next leadership workshop will be held in Spring 2011.
